Mural
Enjoy Penrith Public School’s playground mural, which was painted on the side panels of the old school library in 1998.

Designed and coordinated by teachers Mrs Ros Martin and Mrs Carol Bagnell, the aim of the mural project was to represent the history of the Penrith area and our school, from the time of the Dreaming till 1998. Handprint borders are by the students of the day. The mural was first photographed in 2002, for uploading to our original school website, and again in 2010 for a Photo Peach slideshow!

Ready to go

Truck & mural

As you can see, we are having a new library built in 2010 and needed to think of ways to preserve the mural for posterity. We hope to have a set of images scanned in colour onto canvas. Meanwhile, click HERE to see a slideshow of the mural, or scroll down this page to see all the images in one long timeline!
